It seems so easy to save on processed, packaged foods, with coupons, store sales, and rebates.
But it’s not quite that simple to save on fresh produce.
Sure, you can shop the sales, and utilize Aldi’s ridiculously low prices, but what if there was a way to make produce even cheaper?
Groupon, the king of all things cheap and innovative, has released a new app for iPhone and Android, called Snap! by Groupon.
What’s so great about Snap! by Groupon?
Snap! by Groupon is an app that offers you cash back on groceries, including items like fresh produce, bread, milk, and eggs. You can use Snap! by Groupon at any store (even Aldi, my fav) and on any brand of produce, eggs, milk, or bread! In addition to generic rebates, Snap! by Groupon offers rebates on brand-name items.
Like with other grocery rebate apps such as Ibotta, Checkout 51, and WisePiggy, Snap! by Groupon’s offers rotate, and run out quickly, so make sure you check which rebates are available before heading to the store.
How do I submit for rebates?
Submitting receipts for rebates is very easy. Simply snap a picture of your receipt (from any store) within 2 days of purchasing eligible items, and then select which items available for rebates are on your receipt. Snap! by Groupon generally verifies receipts within a few hours (up to 24) and at that point your cash back will be reflected in your account.
When Do I Get Paid?
When your account balance reaches $20.00, you can request a check!
What’s the fuss About?
1. SNAP offers can be redeemed from any store!
2. You don’t need a smartphone! SNAP offers can be redeemed via desktop, android, or iphone!
3. Once you reach $20 in rebates, SNAP mails you a check.
4. Some offers allow you to redeem more than 1!
5. There are tons of current offers on fruits and vegetables, as well as $1.00 off a gallon of milk and $3.00 any package of Huggies Diapers!

Here’s What SNAP Says About Itself:
Snap by Groupon gives you cash back on everyday grocery purchases – no matter where you shop. It’s like having grocery coupons on your mobile phone, but way better!
Where can I redeem Snap offers?
At any store! To get your cash back, simply use the ‘Snap Receipt’ feature to upload your receipt. We don’t care where you shop – we just need proof that you purchased one or more promoted products so that we can add cash to your account.
Can I redeem multiple offers on one receipt?
Yes! Once you snap a photo of your receipt, you will be able to select all cash-back offers you’ve purchased.
Can I redeem each offer more than once?
Sometimes! We try to have as few restrictions as possible on our offers, so you can often multiply your cash back by purchasing several units of the promoted product. Each offer’s redemption limit is clearly noted on its details page.
How do I get paid?
When you’ve earned $20 or more in cash back, you can request payment. Go to ‘My Account’ page and select ‘Cash Out.’
What devices can I use Snap on?
Snap can be used on a smartphone, tablet, or desktop computer – just download our app for iOS or Android, or visit us online at snap.groupon.com.
Can I have multiple accounts?
No, each person can only have one account.

A Snap by Groupon review

Cool idea! I’d love to get cash back and save more on produce since that’s what I normally buy the most of and it doesn’t often have coupons.
Gretchen says
Exactly – it can be so hard to save on produce, especially if you’re a die-hard aldi shopper like I am!
Emily @ Simple Cheap Mom says
I use a similar service already. It would be great to “double up” so to speak!
Gretchen says
Yep – and I do it frequently!
Debt Hater says
Had never heard of this app, thanks for sharing! If you hadn’t already SavingStar offers similiar rebates so like Emily said you might be able to get twice the discount some weeks.
Gretchen says
Love double-stacking those rebates!

This is so great. I do almost all my shopping at Aldi as well. And I try to eat as many whole foods and bargin brands as possible which don’t usually benefit from the rebates on the other apps. Thanks for sharing this great resource to save more money while shopping at Aldi.
