You guys,
After the last game night, when we had so much fun, I decided it was time to do it again, this time with Trivial Pursuit from the Hasbro Game Channel, fantastic junk food, and of course, my camera! All last week we were down with that nasty cold that was going around. Our poor kiddo had the runny nose and was teething all at the same time, so needless to say, she was a nightmare! But, she was finally feeling better and we decided to make it a fun night! It all started with some awesome junk food – specifically, dips like the ones below! And it was such a fun night!
We played Trivial Pursuit on the Hasbro Game Channel with our PS3. Admittedly, our little one wasn’t that interested in the game, but boy, was she interested in the controller! We ended up giving her a dummy controller so that she could “play” and not mess up the game!
We love Trivial Pursuit, because Trivia fans can test their wits in this new take on the world’s most well-known trivia game. TRIVIAL PURSUIT Live! transforms the classic experience into a TV-show setting with reinvented question formats, customizable game lengths and a variety of game rounds and rules to keep players guessing.
And boy, were we into it! I’m super competitive, and so are our friends and their kids! Even though our little one wasn’t into it, our good friends’ kids are in middle school, so Trivial Pursuit and junk food was right up their alley!
What’s not to love?
Since we’re in year 2 of our 3-year debt-payoff journey, it can be really tough to balance living life in the now, and focusing on our future. But, we are often able to stay in, invite friends over, cook up some amazing food and host game nights with Hasbro Game Channel, because it’s one of our most frugal ways to entertain!
How do you do game nights?

My husband and I have been doing game night since we were in college. Our most recent “rediscovery” is Monopoly. We used to hate playing it because it would take so long, but it turns out that if you follow the original directions and do property auctioning it’s much more competitive and exciting.
You’re totally right about it being a cheap and entertaining way to spend an evening!
