Inspiration Tuesday #6 - Living on Fifty

Welcome to Week #6 of Inspiration Tuesday!

Last week, we talked about how I like to steal others’ motto’s, especially when it comes to my business. Last week, it was part of Google’s motto:

Focus on the user. All else will follow.

Simple and to the point – and I love that about it. I like to rotate out inspirations on the wall in my office, but this one I tend to keep around because everything I do, I strive to be of use to someone. Anyone, really..

If you’ve been following my budget updates, Net Worth Updates, or even read a single post on this blog, you’ll know that I’m far from perfect. We fight a daily battle against our budget, against our debt, against our desire for material things.

It wish it weren’t that way, but I have finally realized that we will never be completely free of these struggles.

But, this inspiration gives me hope.

Hope that each and every month, I can make progress. Maybe it’s 1%, maybe it’s 10%, maybe it’s more, but progress is progress, and that’s all the matters.

Perfection will never happen, be it in our budget, our business, or even in my marriage, but what’s that they say? Life is a journey, not a destination. Perfection will never happen, and even on the off change that it does, you’ll get bored.
