You know how stores offer “price adjustments”, in most cases, if the price you purchased and item at drops within 2 weeks?
Who really has time to chase all of those down?
That, my friends, is where this really cool new service called Paribus comes in.
How Paribus Works
Paribus works off of stores’ guarantees of refunds when prices drop by simply tracking your purchases and then asking for the refunds.
All you have to do is sign up with your email, connect the accounts you shop with and then move on with your life. When you shop, Paribus keeps track of all of your incoming receipts – and goes back 30 days when you sign up – looking for any these three things:
- Price Drops
- A Better Deal
- A Missed Coupon
Whenever Paribus finds any of those things, they submit a claim to the company for you and then put the money owed to you back into your bank account. They do keep a 25% commission, which means that if Paribus never finds any money for you, they don’t make any money!
The Merchants
- Target
- Walmart
- Staples
- Gap
- Old Navy
- J Crew
- NewEgg
- Zappos
- Macy’s
- Bloomingdales
- Bonobos
- Nordstrom
- Banana Republic (I try to steer clear of this store because I have an addiction to it)
- Piperlime
I really love the dashboard – it’s really cool how much detail and information they have about your purchases. My dashboard is fairly boring, because I literally joined 10 days ago, but I just could wait to share it with you! Here’s a peek:
Straight from Paribus
Paribus actually put together a short video explaining how it works, because let’s face it: They know their company better than anyone, and do a great job of explaining it!
What I Love About Paribus
Lately, I’ve been raving about Digit, but the truth is Paribus is pretty cool too! Why?
Because they give you back money that you already spent.
Not money that was sitting in your bank account, not money that you had already saved, and not money that you had intended to spend, but money that was gone from your account they get back for you!
How amazing is that?
What Might Scare You off
They Take 25%: Sure, it’s not idea, but Paribus is a business, and they provide a really cool service, so why shouldn’t they get paid?
They Need To Scan Your Email: Not in a creepy way, but to to see your shopping email.
You Need To Shop At Certain Stores: If you don’t shop much at the stores Paribus supports, then you probably won’t save a whole lot. Still, even a few dollars is worth a sign-up!
How to Sign Up
- Sign up at Paribus.co
- Attach your Accounts
- Wait and watch the money roll in
The best part about Paribus is that you don’t have to change a single thing about your shopping habits in order to get money back! You shop, it goes to work – it’s that simple!
