Good Morning & Happy Tuesday!
I want to ask you today how your Tuesdays tend to go.
Are you super fired up because you hate Mondays?
Or where you super productive yesterday and having trouble finding that same motivation today?
I’m actually in the second camp. Even though I claim to hate Mondays, at the end of the day I feel very satisfied because there is something about the fresh, new week that motivates me to get superhuman amounts of work done. I prioritize better on Mondays, Mondays leave me more focused, and maybe it’s the fact that the weekend wore her out, but Mondays tend to go better because the little one sleeps later, naps like a pros and therefore is in a better mood on Mondays.
So there.
But regardless of which camp your in – or even if you’re in a camp all your own, today’s Inspiration is for you:
Don’t get me wrong, I’m all for thinking. Thinking has gotten me, and many other people to great places.
But no matter how far your thinking has gotten you, sometimes, you’re just not feeling it.
Tuesdays are my ‘not feeling it day.
I just want to curl up with netflix and cocoa (or wine, depending upon my mood), grab a cozy blanket, and lose myself in being a mommy and a romantic.
Then there’s the fact that I was super-productive yesterday, which leaves me feeling like I’ve earned a lazy day on Tuesday.
Not true.
Sometimes, the best way to conquer your day, whether your nemesis is Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, or even the weekend is to keep it simple.
Put on a pot of coffee and drink a few cups to give you extra energy.
Then don’t think, just do.
Give yourself permission to do the mundane things.
Put your creative drive on the back burner.
And just do.
Pretty soon your routine will take over and you will have catapulted from no motivation into a productivity that is born of habit.
How do you use habit to help your productivity?
