However, with expert help, anyone can start planning for their future.
How Much Will You Need?
Part of good retirement planning is understanding how much you’ll need. Most people greatly underestimate how much money they’ll need in order to finance their retirement years. This is especially true if you don’t want to lower your standard of living. A good financial planner can help you determine a realistic figure so that you won’t be faced with cash flow problems when you finally get a chance to retire.
Stocks, Bonds, or Other Investments
Taking money out of each pay check and sticking it into a savings account is not likely to get you where you need to be. Most people invest their money in order to get a better return for their money. Of course, knowing how to invest wisely is key to protecting your nest egg. If you make poor financial decisions, you’re likely to see a dramatic loss in your retirement account; however, with expert guidance and an understanding of your options, it’s possible to grow your retirement nest egg so that you’ll have the financial means necessary to finance your golden years.
Why You Need an Expert on Your Side
It’s important to have an experienced investment company managing your portfolio. While some people choose to dabble in the stock market, this should not be your sole means of providing for your retirement. It takes a great deal of expertise to be able to choose investments wisely. When it comes to protecting and growing your retirement income, it’s essential that you choose an experienced company.
A reputable company, such as Fortress Investment Group, can provide the help you need to meet your retirement goals. Fortress Investment’s Co-Chairman Peter Briger is an example of the type of expertise you’ll get when you choose a leading investment company.

We hired a financial planner; it was not a good use of money. He put us into a diversified portfolio of mutual funds. Had we invested that same money on the same date in Vanguard’s target date fund, we would have made a profit by now; instead we are behind. Everything I read seems to back up the idea that index funds are the way to go; few fund managers manage to consistantly beat the market.
